PLANETS ALIVE

In 1608, on the side of his scientific endeavors, Johannes Kepler wrote a little fantasy work “The Dream”, the first literary fiction inspired by the then new and revolutionary Copernican concept of the Universe. The vision of the planets, each with its own distinct landscape, orbiting the Sun in silent space, has since then ignited imagination of many writers and artists. Four centuries after Kepler, Tomasz and Melody Gudzowaty have embarked on a journey to nine planets of the solar system, finding their resemblances in the wild and pristine landscapes of Namibia, Maldives, and South Georgia, or in the abandoned interiors of a French chateau. The project, titled “Planets Alive”, is to be continued.
