The ceremony of presenting the Olympic Laurels - prizes of the Polish Olympic Committee under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Waldemar Dąbrowski - took place on 25 June 2013 at the Olympic Centre in Warsaw.

The Gold Olympic Laurel in Photography has been awarded to Tomasz Gudzowaty for  achievements in sport photography. The Olympic Laurel were established in 1967 to honor outstanding Polish artists who have contributed to the promotion of the humanistic values, and to emphasize the significance of culture and art in the propagation of the Olympic idea.

The cultivation by the Polish Olympic Committee of the tradition of combining art with sport goes back to the roots of the Greco-Latin civilisation, where art originated from the inseparable relations between the Olympic games and the creative power of the artists.
